This Weekend: Saturday Nepotism Live!

Tomorrow night, Saturday Night Live will experience its second dose of Hollywood nepotism. Back in 1979, Peter Aykroyd, younger brother to original cast member Dan Aykroyd, joined the SNL cast for one season. This weekend, Abby Elliott, daughter of former SNL cast member Chris Elliott (There's Something About Mary), will make her debut as a featured player. Chris, who performed on the show during the 1994-95 season, is the son of actor Bob Elliott, a member of the comic duo "Bob & Ray," who were most popular in the 1940s and 1950s. Bob Elliott played his son's father on the short-lived Fox sitcom Get a Life! (1990-92). To see our posting on the Elliott family and a photo of Bob & Ray, click here.
